The time and date were confirmed as Sunday at 4:00, but we never really firmed up a place. I call on you, polsters, to try your best to figure this out so we can get together on Sunday. It would be really nice if everyone who is planning on attending could weigh in today.
If no consensus is reached today, then I move to postpone until next month.
If there is a consensus, I won’t be able to stay very long since my wife’s grandparents are having us over for dinner that evening.
Good luck.

Calendar is set, my map is blank.
There is a nice Polish bar and restaurant on Colfax west of the Snug.
I’ll look for location later.
I need somewhere to practice my Polish…
…didn’t read all the way through the thread.
/hangs head in shame
The Yardhouse in JeffCo.
Vine St. Pub in Denver was also mentioned.
I really have no preference. It’s more about what works for everyone’s schedules and mobility.
Excellent food and beers. Just remember, it’s a cash only venue.
has lots of good beers. Never been there though.
Just read some reviews for that place. Ugh.
Since I’m not much of a beer drinker I’ll trust everyone else’s collective judgment on the location.
Polish beer and food, on the corner of Marion and Colfax, 1509 Marion St Denver.
I will see you all there! I will be the one wearing scrubs and a mask.
Enoy!
Watching that alone makes the trip worth it 🙂
As Hedwig sagely advised, “Go for da’eyes!”
the stethoscope!
in case some one impersonates a heart attack we’ll have someone on hand that can impersonate a doctor.
…actually come to this event… looks like fun
From Dr. Dobson & Douglas Bruce, who are solely authorized to issue exit visas from Colorado Springs, I’ll show…as long the place serves a crap chardonnay.
For me, either some place in Jeffco, or someplace within a half-mile radius of the 16th Street Mall (allowing me to get there by light rail), would work. If it’s out east someplace, I probably won’t make it (I suppose that could be an incentive for picking a place out east!).
Kinga’s is about a mile east on Colfax from the 16th st mall shuttle turnaround. A ride can be arranged for you.
“I’d walk a mile for a camel,” or a Guinness, as the case may be.
…and for more fun, hop on the #15 bus. The entertainment is both cheap and rich!
Did you see Driving the 15 Tough, Never Boring in the Rocky earlier this week?
http://www.rockymountainnews.c…
Although, I suppose I must fess up and bow to the “truth.” I’ve ridden the 15 several times (but not regularly), and I’ve never seen anything scandalous. Perhaps my air of authoritay keeps everyone in line.
Hey, I can dream can’t I?
I’ll try to make it but not sure.
Except in Denver.
Maybe next month we should do it in Boulder.
I’ll be thinking of you on the slopes!
If not, I still vote for something smack-dab in the 16th Street Mall/LoDo/Civic Center corridor. Lot’s to choose from, mutually convenient, and politically correct. (I don’t know what that last one means either).
We’ll give it until tomorrow.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say Yard House, simply because it’s easy to find, and they take credit cards unlike Vine St. Pub. Plus, it’s so close to the Colorado Pols HQ that at least one of the Dead Guvs couldn’t possibly say no. Unless, you know, they’re busy or something.
Anybody with me?
Yard House would be fine…it is on the W. Colfax bus route. I’m up for any place.
I go for Kinga’s. Easy to get to on Colfax, only a little east of Capitol.
Yard House might still remember the night a party turned very fun; dancing on the tables and bars and other things. And it is way west of here.
I’ve mapped it out, and although there is a bus from Boulder to Golden, it doesn’t run on weekends. Going through Denver would take 1:45, which I don’t think I’m prepared to do. So I’d be out.
Kinga’s seems much closer to downtown.
But my oldest daughter is coming back into town after a trip, and I miss her like crazy.
I think one of these a month is a great idea.
then she’s old enough to join us for a beer.
Guess I’ll jus’ have to have a bayou beer all by myself as the pelicans and ospreys catch fish…….
on your Webcam?
I know LB has his iPhone, so maybe……
At this point I’m assuming consensus was not found and that it is off until next month?
I’ll go to one when it’s smack-dab in the 16th Street Mall corridor, within a half-mile of the Mall itself (in any direction). There’s a ton of choices within that area, and it’s bound to be the most mutually convenient location.
